Deactivating and removing team members

When someone leaves your team, you can deactivate their account. FieldGate uses soft deactivation — their data is preserved for payroll and compliance purposes, but they can no longer log in.

How to deactivate

Go to Team, find the member, and click View to open their profile. From the profile panel, click Deactivate at the bottom. Their session is immediately revoked and they will be signed out on all devices.

What happens to their data

All time entries, job history, and payroll records are retained. The employee appears as inactive in your team list and is excluded from seat counts going forward.

GDPR compliance

FieldGate's deactivation flow is GDPR-compliant. Data is retained for legitimate business purposes (payroll records, audit trails) but the account cannot be used to access the platform.
